Jason Miles

Kia ora, ko Jason Miles tōku ingua.

I am proud to live and work in Aotearoa New Zealand and have been a primary school principal since 1996.  My leadership career spans four schools, in Canterbury, ranging in size from 50 - 550 students. I currently head up Kaiapoi North School in North Canterbury.

It has been an honour to represent my colleagues, through the New Zealand Principals’ Federation (NZPF) National Executive, since 2018, including as Vice President since 2022. On the Executive, I am a member of the leadership Pou, and a board member of the Principals’ Legal Support and Advice Scheme, supporting principals in need of legal support. 

My conference organising experience includes two NZPF conferences, and one held in Christchurch in 2024. I will be using all this experience to support hosting the 2026 ICP conference in our country’s largest city of Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland.
